How was your week? Mine? I kept seeing the same movie I’ve seen before.
Act 1: A new tool. Big promises.
Act 2: The rush. Everyone piles in. Leaders declare revolutions. Advice floods the feed.
Act 3: The turn. Rules change. Reach drops. Pipelines stall.
Different stage. Same story. Just more costly.
I’ve lived through it:
Free reach that vanished when ads took over.
SEO castles that crumbled overnight.
“Post more” campaigns that created noise, pressure, but no new business.
Now the headline act is AI.
The AI Rush
AI is real. It will reshape how we work.
But the way it’s being sold right now? That’s hype.
My inbox is full of “must-have” AI tools. I try a few. Results? Okay, not amazing, and much tweaking needed.
They produce more output, not better judgment. And output without judgment isn’t an advantage. It’s clutter. Oh yeah, don't forget they LIE.
Version one of anything is clunky. It teaches, then it breaks. Yet people treat it like the answer.
Louder, not smarter. Faster, not better.
Scar Tissue Tuition
I’ve stayed too long when momentum felt safe. I’ve trusted platforms like they were partners. I’ve mistaken busy dashboards for a real pipeline.
Those mistakes weren’t free. They were tuition.
Now I ask different questions:
What breaks if the rules change?
What’s left if a platform flips a switch?
What lasts once everyone has the same tool?
What’s Really Missing
The missing piece isn’t another hack. It’s the ability to see the pattern before it ends.
That’s called WISDOM.
Wisdom is scar tissue turned into pattern recognition. It’s judgment that compounds across cycles. It’s what keeps you from making the same expensive mistakes.
Why It Matters
AI isn’t the end of the story. It’s the latest chapter.
When the rush fades—and it will—the people left standing won’t be the ones who produced the most.
They’ll be the ones who slow down, ask better questions, and build something that lasts.
In other words, the ones who leaned on wisdom.
