People often ask me how we do what we do at DCC. How we help thought leaders go from an idea to a book, a brand, a full learning ecosystem—and fast! The honest answer? We don’t do it alone.

Yes, tools matter. Yes, strategy matters. But when it comes to execution, it all comes down to one thing: The team.

This week, I want to introduce you to two people who quietly—but powerfully—shape everything we build at DCC: Kayce and Kristine. They don’t just move projects forward. They move people. They bring rigor and warmth: structure and soul.

And instead of telling you about them, I asked them to speak for themselves.

Meet Kristine

Operations Manager, Systems Builder, Bridge Between Worlds

I joined DCC in December 2023 as a project manager, and like most things here, my role evolved fast. Today, I lead operations, coordinating projects, guiding the team through typesetting and global distribution, managing tools like Monday.com, and helping authors navigate the entire publishing process.

But what do I really do? I make sure our authors feel seen, our team stays aligned, and the entire experience runs smoothly, from first idea to global launch.

One thing people often miss about this kind of work is the emotional energy behind it. It’s not just about getting things done. It’s about helping someone bring a dream to life—calming nerves, solving problems, and keeping things moving with heart.

Working with Jan has taught me how structure and soul can go hand in hand. He leads with trust and clarity, and it’s changed the way I think about leadership, especially in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.

One of my favorite projects so far? The DCC Roundtable series. We created space for honest, grounded conversations, and it reminded me why I love this work. When people feel safe to show up as themselves, amazing things happen.

Outside of work, I’m a calm soul with a love for journals, books, and animals. I share my home with ten cats and two dogs (yes, really). I find joy in quiet routines, organized spaces, and moments that feel real.

If I could leave you with one thought: Publishing and course creation work best when we treat them as a collaboration, not a transaction. When clients come in open, curious, and clear (even about what they’re unsure about), it brings out the best in everyone.

And one last lesson I’ve learned here: You don’t have to choose between being clear and being kind. You can lead with high standards and empathy. And when you do, people rise with you.
