Your Voice Isn’t Outdated, It’s Underused

ree

Hi everyone,

How was your week?

Mine included a roundtable... and two pulled teeth.

A day before our monthly DCC session, I was in the dentist’s chair. My oral surgeon called me a vampire because I healed unusually fast. I laughed, but I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to show up the way I wanted to. Hosting these sessions takes real energy. But I did it anyway.

Because what we’re building here matters. And showing up, even when it’s uncomfortable, is part of that commitment.

The Roundtable: Global, Grounded, and Generous

This month’s roundtable brought together creators from the U.S., Europe, and Asia. We saw familiar faces and welcomed new ones. And instead of diving straight into the topic, we gave each person time to introduce themselves, share what they’re building, and where they could use help.

That shift gave the space a different rhythm, more human, more connective. It reminded me that this isn’t just a conversation about content. It’s about people who care about how they show up in the world. People building things that last.

If you were there, thank you. If you weren’t, I hope you’ll join us next time and maybe invite someone you think should be part of this kind of room.

Legacy Content: The Most Overlooked Asset You Already Own

This month’s topic was legacy content: the articles, posts, talks, and ideas you’ve already shared that still hold weight.

In a time when AI can generate a thousand decent blog posts in a minute, it’s easy to forget that real authority comes from lived experience. From your voice. From the clarity you had before everything had to be optimized for performance.

Your older content is a reflection of that. It’s not outdated. It’s underused.

When resurfaced intentionally, legacy content can:

  • Show the depth of your expertise — not just what you know now, but what you've known for years

  • Reintroduce your voice in a way that feels grounded, not generic

  • Build thought leadership without forcing you to create from scratch

A Few Ways to Start

We didn’t get into tactical frameworks during the session, but here’s something to consider if you’re ready to put your old work back to work:

  1. Be selective – Don’t just repost. Choose pieces that still reflect a truth or insight that matters.

  2. Bridge the gap – Add a line or two that connects them to now. Even a short reflection can make it feel timely.

  3. Use tools wisely – AI can help you polish or format, but keep your voice intact. That’s the part people connect with.

  4. Build a content library – Start archiving your strongest past work so it’s easy to revisit and reuse with intention.

You already have more content capital than you think. The question is: will you let it sit buried — or will you give it new life?

If you found something old you’re thinking of resharing, feel free to send it my way. I’d be happy to give feedback or help shape the bridge that brings it back into the world.

Thanks again for being part of this community. Let’s keep showing up — for ourselves, for each other, and for the work that still deserves to be seen.

More soon,

ree
